April 10 Weekly Astrology: Saying goodbye to a good thing

Here is your horoscope for the week of Monday, April 10 to Sunday, April 16:

The past few weeks, you've been experimenting with a new identity as it has emerged, perhaps somewhat insecure or unsteady, and trying to make adjustments to your life to accommodate this new identity. But this week, you're no longer playing around. It's time to commit to this new person that you are becoming, and make the hard choices you need to make in order to move forward.

The full moon in Libra on Tuesday, which will help you to do it, is a whopper. Old relationship chapters are ending in your life — and in a really big way. Either you are scrapping certain relationships in favor of others, or totally re-working the relationships you do have so that they look completely different.

This may not feel entirely comfortable, especially with Pluto in the mix. People may be unhappy that their relationships are changing, or things may happen abruptly or surprisingly. Don't try to hold on to the past, and don't try to make everyone else, except yourself, happy. Know that you must move forward, and in your own way too.

What makes these changes even more difficult, though, is that these relationship chapters you are now ending ... have actually been really good for you! With Jupiter conjunct this week's full moon, the thing that is coming to an end ... is actually something we really kinda liked, that taught us a lot, and that brought us a lot of really great things, which can make some of the decisions we reveal this week even more unsettling to others. Why exactly would one person want to leave a good thing that was actually working for them behind, and in such a shocking way?

The promise of an even better life, perhaps, that is more authentic. With Uranus opposing the full moon, and conjunct the Sun, we're choosing to move into new chapters in life that are perhaps a little weird, unusual, new, strange, untested, or unexpected. But that we feel as though we must go at this time to get right with ourselves.

Move forward in this direction, but know that it will not be an easy decision or choice to make. Especially when we have people and relationships in our lives we love very much. Try to be gentle with them — and appreciative, despite all the chaos, but make sure not to neglect who you really are and what you really feel inside. The other people in your life, even though you may feel trapped by them now, were once on your side — and may even still be when you really need them.

The lesson here, especially with Mars in Taurus, is to figure out what you value and what means the most to you, and to stick with that. Constantly changing your mind about your life, who you are, and where you're heading will not help. Though I don't get the sense we will want to this week, anyways.

We really are about to turn a corner. But in order to do so, we must keep driving!

Life after this will take a turn for the up and up. Venus will go direct, and no more planets will wander through Pisces again for about a year, where Chiron and the south node have been rocking our world since January. And by the time planets do return to this spot, things will have completely changed anyways.

Trust that they are about to get much better. Do what you need to do now to bring a new, more authentic you into existence, and don't look back. The hard work of building on what has come to you in the past few months will begin soon — but it won't be as hard as you think, especially not if you truly love the life you are creating and have committed to it wholeheartedly.
